How to apply

How to apply

Home > Admissions > How to apply

Thank you for your interest in a place at a BEYA nursery.

The Barnet Early Years Alliance is a Federation of three OFSTED outstanding nursery schools, a Sure Start Children’s Centre and an Early Years Teaching school.

We offer nursery provision from 8:00am-6.00pm at Hampden Way, Brookhill and St Margaret’s, Monday to Friday, either on a term time or all year round arrangement. (Provision during school holidays is held at Brookhill).

When to apply

Application for admission to the Nurseries should be made soon after the child’s second birthday, and children are usually admitted in the Autumn or Spring term, following their third birthday. For children wanting two year old provision, we suggest parents/carers put their child’s name down when they are 12 months old.

Places will usually be offered for the 3-5 provision in the Autumn term to all children whether you have an Autumn or a Spring start. On occasion, if there are places available, children may be offered a place in the Summer term.

Two year olds start as soon as they reach two years old for fee payers. Children accessing Free Early Education funded places can start the term after their second birthday. Two year olds can start at any point in the term as long as there are spaces. There is a minimum requirement of three sessions per week for children.

At BEYA we offer places to rising threes. This means that parents can have a paid nursery place following their child’s third birthday, the term before their free entitlement starts, but this will be at a cost.

We offer a tours of the nursery on a fortnightly basis. Please see ‘school tours’ for further information.

Ofsted Outstanding
  • Together, you research effective education practice, tailoring it to support the development needs of every child. As a result, all children make substantial gains in their learning. They are very well prepared for primary school.

    Ofsted

  • You have a clear vision for the school and are supported by excellent practitioners at every level. You and your team reflect continually on what is best for the children in your care.

    Ofsted

  • Parents commented that, even the small things, like the issuing of fridge magnets with a picture of their children’s key worker, really helped their children to get ready for their time at the school and to settle in swiftly. Right from day one, there is a friendly face to meet and greet them.
