Governance

Governance

Home > Our School  > About Us > Governance

Our governing body works to ensure that BEYA sets high standards by ensuring continuous improvement.

We have a fantastic team of governors at BEYA, who bring an incredible breadth of skill to our nurseries. They have an important role in providing strategic leadership and accountability. Their role is to set the aims and objectives for BEYA, set the policies and targets to meet them, and monitor and evaluate the progress BEYA is making towards reaching them. The BEYA governing body is a source of support and challenge to Caron Rudge, our Executive Headteacher, and senior leadership team to ensure and bring about the absolute best for children and families.

Our current governors are:

  • Gerald Mehrtens (Chair) – Co-opted
  • Mary Groom (Vice Chair) – Co-opted
  • Caron Rudge – Executive Headteacher
  • Anna Theodoulou – Co-opted
  • Alessandro Ciuffo – Co-opted
  • Kristina Stradina – Co-opted
  • Nick Mahony – Co-opted
  • Asja Raskovic – Associate Member
  • Julian Sandford – Staff Governor
  • Fumiyo Welsby – Parent Governor

Ofsted Outstanding
  • Together, you research effective education practice, tailoring it to support the development needs of every child. As a result, all children make substantial gains in their learning. They are very well prepared for primary school.

    Ofsted

  • You have a clear vision for the school and are supported by excellent practitioners at every level. You and your team reflect continually on what is best for the children in your care.

    Ofsted

  • Parents commented that, even the small things, like the issuing of fridge magnets with a picture of their children’s key worker, really helped their children to get ready for their time at the school and to settle in swiftly. Right from day one, there is a friendly face to meet and greet them.
