18 Dec Hampden Way: December 2020
Merry Christmas Everyone! We hope you enjoy looking at what we’ve been up to in December. The classrooms have looked magical with hundreds of fairy lights and decorations, made with love by the children. We have used glitter, sequins, boxes and ribbons to create Christmas trees, sleighs and decorations. We made a beautiful wreath and have even given last year’s Christmas tree a new lick of paint!
The children have been brilliant at learning and singing Christmas songs and shared countless Christmas stories. We have explored snowy salt trays, baubles in the water and we hope you have enjoyed seeing our wonderful reindeer in the front garden, the children worked together, weaving ribbons and we think he is rather magnificent.
We have been enjoying being outside for our ‘Wild Wednesdays’, with lots of climbing, using blocks and climbing equipment to build Santa’s sleigh. We have had many fires, with popcorn, hot chocolate and lots of singing.
On Thursday, we had our Christmas Party. The children sang, danced and played pass the parcel. They enjoyed party food, followed by the magical experience of snow in the garden and the looks on the children’s faces was a joy to behold. We also had a special visitor, a (socially distanced) Father Christmas with his wife and snow dog and a truly wonderful time was had by all.
We will be sending a link to watch our Christmas video, please remember not to share this on any social media. Thank you.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your understanding and support during these difficult times. We would also like to thank you for all your donations and extremely kind and generous gifts.
We hope you all stay and safe and the enjoy the holiday season, with love from us all at Hampden Way Nursery xxx
